From the Glen Ivy Website: "Established in 1860 and nestled at the base of the Santa Ana Mountain Range in Corona, California, the beautiful, lush grounds of Glen Ivy Hot Springs stretch across 12 acres and include 19 pools and whirlpools to enjoy, including the historic mineral baths. The Hot Springs also include botanical gardens, a labyrinth for self-reflection, and a variety of daily classes and programs, as well as quiet places and gathering areas where guests can relax, renew and re-engage."
What is better than having neighbors who are also great friends?
Spending the day with them at Glen Ivy. This is truly the perfect Girls Day Out for a group of ladies who burn the candle at both ends during the week.
We started the day at Club Mud which was perfect because we were the only ones there. We got in the mud pool and spread the mud and baked in the sun. Brushed it off and then showered at the Club Mud Showers. A great way to scrub a stressful week away.
Next a quick trip to the The Chill Zone Bar for tequila shots. After all this is a Girls Day out. We were then ready to paint the spa green at The Grotto.
Here is the description from their website:
" This is your skin softening, sensuous and subterranean journey, that’s so much fun! Descend to our secret cave and be painted neck-to-toe with a warm aloe vera, coconut oil, eucalyptus and lavender masque. Then warm your body in the gently heated cavern where this silky formula can soak further into your skin as your body heats up and your pores open. When you’re ready, step into the next room to rinse off under cascading water before moving into the final, cooler grotto to relax with tea, water and fruit.
Unlike most body treatments, this can be enjoyed with friends in a group. You can also continue to massage this moisturizing masque into your warm skin as you journey through The Grotto. Take as much time as you like. We recommend 30-40 minutes. As this experience is very popular, please book early."
It was all that they described. If you are doing a Girls Day Out the Grotto is a MUST!
Next to lunch at Ivy Kitchen. The most popular item was the mountain of Nachos. Even the small size needs to be shared. I am still doing Weight Watchers FreeStyle so I opted for a salad that was delicious.
We spent the rest of the day at the South Pool. They offer cocktail service poolside which was awesome! Their average drink was $10-$12 which I thought was totally reasonable for a resort like Glen Ivy.
We ended the day using the hot pools in the locker rooms. We spent a full 8 hours relaxing and bonding. Truly a perfect day.
